Qingming Festival
The Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, is one of the traditional Chinese festivals, usually falling between April 4th to 5th each year. It is a time for people to pay homage to their ancestors and deceased loved ones by visiting their tombs, burning incense and paper money, and offering flowers and food. Additionally, the festival also marks the arrival of spring, during which people enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, flower viewing, and kite flying to welcome the new year.
In China, the Qingming Festival is an important public holiday, and many people use this time to visit their families or travel. Furthermore, the festival is also considered an environmentally-friendly holiday, as people advocate for protecting the environment and reducing the impact of traditional customs such as burning paper money on the environment.
